Saint Bridit and African American Women Saints :: travel, saints, African Americans,

One of my cohorts traveles to Ireland consistently. My schoolmate expressed each time she visits Ireland that she gets a more noteworthy comprehension of ladies in the good 'ol days. We both originate from a baptist, penecostal and apstolic foundation, I might want to look at the jobs of Saint Bridit and ladies in the congregation, the main dark ladies evangelists lectured about in the baptist church was harriet tuckman. Different ladies discussed in chapel was Mary the mother of Jesus Christ. Anyway Mary the mother of Jesus increased my confidence, anyway I realize it was a lot of information to be picked up concerning ladies. My Classmate who made a trip to Ireland a year ago had the option to impart to me about Saint Bridit, I was restless to think about the extraordinary holy people in Ireland. I was eagered to think about Saint Bridit in light of the fact that when I was brought into the world my mom named me Cassandra and back in Celtic custom my name implied Prophetess and Godesss and Bridit was viewed as a Godess too. While going to Ohio Dominican my teacher gave a talk on Saint Bridit and ladies in the antiquated Celtic Tradition, which drove me to expound on Bridgit. I needed to know who this ladies was who carried an amazing nearness to Ireland, her name was perceived to the point that she was respected by man and ladies in highplaces. I was overpowered when I read an article on Saint Bridit, I felt so separated of this ladies. Back in my moms day and in certain places of worship today ladies are not regarded not to mention perceived for any five crease service endowments in the congregation. My colleague as of late disclosed to me she visited a well in Ireland that was named after holy person Brigit. This was overpowering to me since when we was growing up I knew of any wells named after any African American Women Saints. At the point when we went to the Baptist Church coming up as kids, ladies in the Baptist church pressed the Choir robes, fund-raised for Pastors Aide, Coordinate Mission trips, fund-raised for outreach, instructed Sunday School and over the Nursey. Ladies was not perceived as Pastors, Bishops and Founders, We realized men was in control in the congregation, I saw possibly time ladies was perceived in the churrch is the point at which they was fund-raising for chapel and Pastor.
